Michael Binstock is a board certified Physician Assistant and received his masters of Medical Science degree from South University in Savannah, GA. He underwent additional surgical and critical care training at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, MD. He is currently working on his Doctor of Medical Science from The University of Lynchburg
Michael has over 18 years of experience in general, trauma critical care, vascular, and oncological breast surgery. He has taken care of patients in both the office and hospital providing elective, urgent, emergent, and pre/post-operative services. Michael has been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Annals of Surgery.
Michael is trained to treat a variety of common surgical problems such as gallstones, appendicitis, diverticulitis, hernias of the abdomen, disease of the breast, colon, peripheral and arterial vascular disease of the upper and lower extremity. He is highly skilled in procedures such as Ultrasound guided biopsies, removal of skin lesions, lipomas, removal of permcaths, and treatment of wound infections needing debridement.
In addition, Michael Physician Assistant is also a graduate of the US Army Flight Surgeon Course and is in the Georgia Army National Guard serving as the Chief of Aerospace Medicine and is also the flight Surgeon for the 1-111th Air Ambulance company based out of Marietta, GA. He has deployed both overseas and stateside in support of Operation Joint Guardian and COVID-19 medical readiness for the US army and Georgia Army National Guard.
Michael sees patients in the office Monday thru Fridays at the Lawrenceville campus.
